you can give me some pictures of your car, or whatever else, that you want to make a signature for this forum. i can do whatever you would like but please state specifically what you want done. for example: "please make black and white with my name on it" or something to that sort. i use photoshop. here are some that i did for my friend on supraforums.

which effect? the engine under the hood? or the color gradient overlay? for the engine i just took 2 pics, then erased some of the closed hood. the gradient overlay is done bt making a new layer then filling it with the gradient tool. you can chande the colors. then switch the layer from normal to overlay.

I liked the first picture, all you needed was to crop it and do some photo editing. I'm using CS4 but I prefer CS2.

i said ive been using it for 3 years. now 3 years ago it was an adobe product and it still is today. so i dont know any different.

how do you make this effect happenSet the camera up take a pic with the hood open and one closed. Go into photoshop, open both pictars and drag the one with the hood open on top of the one with the hood closed.

Select the layer with the hood open and go Layer;Add layer mask;Hide all. The hood open pic will dissapear leaving the hood closed pic visible.
Go to your gradient tool and select Radial gradient.
Make sure you have the gradient set to color on the left and transparent on the right.
Now start playing with it.

Another way is just drag the hood closed pic on top of the hood open pic then start erasing the hood closed pic to reveal the motor from the hood open pic. Make sure if you do this set your eraser tool to brush and take the flow and opacity to around 80 and 80 (personal preference)
Also make sure the brush is a good size 30+ pixles so it gives a nice soft edge.

Btw, CS4 is better in everyway...but then again this shouldn't be something that has to be explained in fine detail. But I guess if you are only going to use the program on the most basic level and have a slow computer to not notice the updates in performance you can just stick with CS3...

sorry, I dont' do color gradient overlays on my photos....or leave smudges when I remove something (the front emblem and antenna on the mini).

I only use photoshop for some post work in my photography...and tons of that has been posted on this board in other sections for criticism and does not need to be cross posted here for the sole reason of you wanting to get into a pissing match.

At the end of the day, comments were made after you boasted about the amount of time you've been using photoshop and how many awards you had received (without mentioning who they were from, hopefully it wasn't from your mom or something). Granted the work posted up (supposed awards) is a higher level of quality work than is being posted with these sigs, neither of those are photohop...maybe a few filters in the end but they appear to mostly be done in illustrator. If most of the sigs didn't all look the same you wouldn't be getting this flack.

i dont see why people are being so critical. Hes making free sigs, if you can do better, then make it yourself. Most people just want a sig, they either dont know how or they dont want to. If hes offering to make them it's because he enjoys doing this. He isnt going to spend hours into making a quality sig thats not for him, or for something that'll benefit him. You cant blame him for making 15 minute sigs, its a favor.
