I have a redtop with a horrible idle. I've found a video on youtube of someone else car which has the exact idle issue as I am currently experiencing.YouTube - sr20 rough idle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUR9xHwtCmI)As far as I know, the swap is completely stock.
Things done so far:
Replaced stock KA fuel pump for a walbro 255
Replaced all spark plugs for ngk plugs gapped at .030
Set timing correctly
Completely remove and clean intake manifold (some damn coolant line was the reason for the removal) and IACV
Checked codes and get 55 A OK
Set TPS to .45
Cleaned and replaced the MAF
Tried to adjust idle but wasn't aware that the tps needed to be unplugged.
Checked for vacuum leaks and plugged the loose hoses and removed access.
What else is on the list that I should check?
Just for confirmation. On the top of the throttle body there are 2 vacuum lines. The one on the left is capped and the one of the right tees of to the FPR and the BOV. Is this ok or should I separate them and use the capped hose?
UPDATE: The problem is now solved. Both cams were off by 1 teeth.

Check for boost leaks. Also, what did you calibrate your TPS to? You should calibrate it while its plugged in. Just turn off the engine and leave the key on, ON.

Haven't touched the tps yet. I will search on how to calibrate it.

Ok, tps was set to .49. I turned it back to .45. At Wot I get 4.13 or so.

And the idle is still horrible? Did you check the boost leaks lie I mentioned? Also are you running a recirculated BOV?

If you have really cold plugs they can make the idle a lil rough..

I honestly tried to search for boost leaks but my method sucks ass. I thought that you sprayed the hoses and suspected boost leak areas with carb cleaner and idle will change.
The thing is that I had to repair a coolant leak that happened right behind the damn manifold so I completely took that off to repair it. I noticed that the lower nipple was completely opened so I plugged that up and still nothing. I purposely created a leak and sprayed around it and nothing happened.
I am not running a recirculated BOV. I noticed something odd, if I remove the filter and put my hand in front of the intake hole and slightly restrict the flow, it will stall. I guess turbo'd vehicles are more sensitive.
I also take back what I said about the timing. Timing with a light does no good. If I put in within range, The car will bog REALLY bad. I don't know what to do anymore. I wonder if some teeth are off. I've tried the timing mode thing. I set my gun to +15 and the line appears between the 3rd and 4th mark starting if counting clockwise. No pinging though.
BTW, thanks for all the suggestions.
I am really starting to wonder if I should just sell the car to a mechanic. Or have another one take a look at it.

Ok according to this site Engine Vacuum Leaks (http://www.aa1car.com/library/vacleak.htm) I need todisconnect the IACV to while spraying to detect a leak. I purposely pulled a vacuum line, sprayed it and nothing happened.
For boost leaks, I'll rev to build positive pressure and use a soapy water solution.

I just took it to sr20store and he said that the cam teeth were off.:squint: I will post If that took care of the problem. Thanks to everyone that helped me out. I've learned lots and is still learning.
