While at the Costa Rica X-Knights, Jeremy Lusk had a horrific crash and has died.

http://www.postchronicle.com/images/articles/lusk.jpg Freestyle motocross star Jeremy Lusk, 24, died as a result of head injuries sustained during a competition, and it is with a heavy heart that The Post Chronicle shares this news. The Temecula rider was transported to Calderon Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica, after he crashed his Yamaha YZ250 heavily -- failing to fully rotate a flip.
He was treated for brain trauma and required immediate surgery to treat a subdural hematoma on the brain.
Surgery lasted 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, Jeremy passed away in his hospital bed (http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_212206919.shtml#) late Monday night, reports Pete Thomas of the L.A. Times (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/outposts/2009/02/jeremy-lusk-die.html). He was reportedly surrounded by his mom and dad, Chuck and Gina Lusk; his wife Lauren, and mother- and father-in-law Lynne and Larry, along with fellow Metal Mulisha riders Ryan Hagy, Cameron Steele, Brian Deegan and Erik Apple.

shit, i got in a motorcycle crash and I could have died. Hit my head hard enough to not remember talking to people, dont remember ambulance ride, blew off the visor retainer on my helmet. Love life man, its too short to be pissed off all the time. Died doing something he loves.

It's certainly shitty but, the guys job was to tempt death every day. Eventually it will collect it's dues. At least it was probably quick and doing something he loved.

I used to see him and his incredibly hot wife at the Temecula Mall all the time.

RIP dude.

^u kinda got a point, they put their asses on the line every time they attempt that shit. Sports athletes get paid soo much because they risk their health for the sport. Still sad way to go though

I'm quite sure once his head hit the ground he was unconscious and that he was unconscious until his death... He may not haved died "quickly" but, at least he didn't know what was happening.
