screw that, build your own with better quality buttons and stick.

seems they woudl be super easy to make.. just rip apart a typical gamepad, purchase the buttons *ive seeen em at my local electronic parts store*, and solder wires to the gamepad buttons.

haha, this brings back memories
I built a custom arcade joystick to play Neo Geo fightings games on an emulator
circa 1998.
wasn't nearly as cool as those but it worked
everything you need to make one is available and not that expensive
is SFIV out already?
(don't keep up with games as much anymore)

Same as worange.
Controller works way better for me.
If only there could be a DPad that was comfortable for the arcade sticks.
*sigh*

I went to a GameStop to preorder a copy of SF4... They said they will be selling the SF4 sticks there, so I just preordered that as well. Dude was telling me that the "premium" sticks they are getting have out-sourced buttons from the SF4 arcades in Japan.
Not sure exactly how good they are, but he said they're good.

yeah, he's one of the guys on the forums.
I guess he can get one on the 16th of march, but wants to play it the day of the release.
That one in culver, I think is on palms and sepulveda.

Apparently the new SF IV stick is suppose to be better then then the hori joysticks but seriously its ALOT cheaper and just as good, if not better to buy the stick and buttons separately and make it. I spent 100$ on mine but that'd cause I didn't know how to make one but theirs all kinds of tutorials online. I'm pretty sure they make the ports now for the PS3

The hori stick, to me, sucks hard.
Not as tight as the arcades (obviously).
The button's don't feel as touchy.

I can see people wanting this just for the collectibility.
I still have the entire collection of ASCII pads and the huge stick for the PS2 that were done as a special edition a few years back (udon did the artwork, IIRC).
For actually playing though, custom is the way to go.

It's the mentality of a majority of the people on this forum.
To improve upon what we have available.
So why play on an arcade stick when you can make one that responds/feels better?
Not to mention it isn't as expensive/hard as most would believe.

Honestly Street Fighter Third Strike is keeping me IN college. If it wasn't for that game I'd have no motive to go to class lol and kill time in between classes or relieve some stress before a test.
Man Almost make me want to get one, I paid 100$ for my MAS controller.

The 360's controller layout sucks for fighting games. I didn't want to spend money to get the fightsticks so I just bought this (PS3 version shown):

Man, the Blanka one would look better IMO. If it was Zangief I'd have to personally come to your house and punch you in the face only because I would get KO'd several times in trying to defeat him.(run-on sentence) lulz
