Well, I am finishing college this semester at UNLV and I am almost positive I will be moving out to the Huntington Beach area.
I have a 240 obviously and would like to be able to still drive it. How do you guys do it out there as you guys have the nazi smog people out there?
I am currently finishing up my Ka-t no cat, e85, Turbo, fully stripped, Stance coils, etc... no egr crap of course.
I am positive I can pass the sniffer test, but obviously visual I will fail. What's your guys advice?
Thanks,
Dave
Oh and how are the meets out there? I assume there have to be a fair amount... and any recommendations for a more local forum ie: nv240sx.org is great for nevada or do you guys just use zilvia?

Damn this is like the second thread on this in the pass like two weeks.
The police will stop you no matter what. Even if you were driving a fucking Kia. Don't drive like a douche bag. Follow the traffic laws and be safe. If you are having trouble dealing with the fact that you can be stopped every time you go out. You should buy another car or go back to stock.

Yes, there is another thread exactly like this.
I agree with the above. You will get pulled over at some point if your car draws attention. Hitting boost, spinning tires, etc. You will save yourself a lot of headaches in the long run if you just get a cheap daily and drive that. Save your investment for the track.
You'll need a hookup to pass smog on that motor. I wouldn't bother asking here for one.
As far as meets, where you are moving to will matter. There are meets all over SoCal. Watch this section for it.

Meets are good and plentiful. If you're gonna be in Huntington Beach, head to the Nickel Nickel meet on Monday nights, or the Pipeline Pizza meet on Tuesdays nights.

I would say the OC cops without a doubt are going to bust you balls. They give tickets on everything. Just try and not to be noticed, but that might be somewhat difficult for your car i see...

Yeah, those aren't local. We were giving him ideas for meets that are within 15 miles of Huntington Beach.

There is no way in HELL a car without a cat will pass in California.
Not to mention you are boosted and a bunch of other crap and the ever important EGR stuff which is part of your emissions control.
Only way you can get that car to pass is a hookup. Think ~$200
