Compression + fuel + spark =\= start?

first off, my setup:

rebuilt ka24de,
walbro255
z32mafs
msd blaster coil,
sti550cc inj.,
chipped ecu

I posted up a thread about not getting any spark, but i fixed that issue with a new dizzy.. after I fixed the spark, I found out I wasn't getting fuel and fixed that with a new fuel pump fuse. Checked my compression and it was good at 180 all across 4 cylinders.

Now I don't get why its not starting.

I pulled the codes and it came out to 13 and 21, CTS and ignition signal circuit. I don't know how there'd be something wrong in the harness.. i measured everything with a multimeter and everything had signals..


has anyone had similiar problems?

Checked the timing and my dizzy timing was 180* off.

she started for a short while today but then shut right off again.
I'm finally guessing my ecu is bad too.

on stock ecu, she started for a second and shut off.
the tuned ecu i'm using won't let me into diagnostics mode.. which is why I think it's a bad ecu.

I believe it was my tuned ecu..

I started the car with my stock ecu and it purred.
weird thing is..

I have N62 and 550cc injectors.. my stock ecu was able to start the car without any problems and keep a good idle...

I need to test out my ecu and if it's bad, I'll have to get a temp solution to break in the motor and get a MSII. I suppose I can use the emanage I have laying around.

I had a bad ecu on my KA-T set up and my car was able to "idle" too.

I don't think you really need a Z32 or 550cc inj if you're not turbo...

Unless you are... Then yes you do. LOL.

lol ya, it's turbo.. i just didnt put piping in yet. :P
