The seller works at an auto shop in Pasadena. I talked to the seller about the vehicle. He said that he did the swap from a front clip. I drove the car on the streets and it seemed fine so I purchased it. On my drive home I jumped on the freeway and the car pinged like no other. I later called him to ask If he had a clue on what may be causing the pinging, he said that "he had just purchased the car and haven't driven it much". That conflicts complete with the bullshit that he told me before buying it. I also looked through the vehicle and saw receipts of someone complaining of a noise when driving. The reciept was from the shop that the seller worked at. This proves that he was aware of an issue and couldn't I would have appreciated if he was honest instead of bullshitting me.
Thankfully I went to "Sideways Performance" in Santa Anna today and Spencer hooked it up. He had to completely redo the vacuum lines and the timing was WAY off. He also cleaned up the engine bay, cleaned up the harness, removed all unnecessary parts and plugs, and taped all hanging plugs that I may use in the future and lots more. No more pinging and the the blow off valve even works now. I'll return monday to replace the stock KA fuel (http://zilvia.net/f/#) pump that they have installed on the sr20 swap.
