Several months back, I remember one member (maybe boosted or jeff240sx) said his dad has a plastic molding company and he said something about he might make a cup holder. Whatever came of this? Did he make them? Cause I would really be interested in buying one.

I had a cup holder for a while, but I had to let it go when she kept bitching about her hands getting cold.

I've seen something like that, but find it hard to believe that they would be sturdy enough for me to trust to hold a big 32 ouncer above my radio, what about you?

Drink some, then wedge it between the console and the passenger seat. Works for me. :D

well if you have an s13 like me just take out the ashtray/ change bin and put it there ... but if its not a screw top you better not try and speed moves bc it can still lean and spill ... i did this with hot tea the other day ...

ya we were looking into making one, but it fell though. maybe when things slow down or something i can look into it again and actually attempt it.
for now, its just an idea in my head of many.

I just set my cup/can/bottle in the center console hole and wedge a pack of cigarettes in front of it so it can't tip & spill. Makes shifting a bit harder (can't reach the shifter as well), but at least I don't spill my drink! :D

I bought one of those Rice Boy Aisle Specialties Type-S cup holder from AutoZone today for 5 bucks..... this is the coolest thing I have in my Coupe now.... even cooler than my S15 Spec R shift knob!
Seriously, this thing is pretty sturdy. It clips into the airvents and then has a secondary "leveler" on the bottom of the holder to you can get the thing level for your drink so you don't spill it. It looks super stupid, but it works! I was pretty psyched about this thing. I told the wife it was the highlight of my day buying this thing as I hauled home my brand new $1200 Flat Screen HDTV today....... she was ****ed about that comment :)

i made a cup holder that fits most soda cans and bottles for my s13. all i did was take a piece of wood and used a doorknob hole drill bit and cut the hole where i wanted it, then spray painted it black so it didnt look so ghetto...and it looks cool at night b/c of the little ashtray light that comes on when the lights are on lol

alright, i have an even more GHETTO way of making a cup holder. you go to your nearest wallyworld store, and grab a 44 cent funnel (the yellow ones, you could probably go to pepboys/autozone/etc). you have to cut it in half or maybe more with something (i dremeled mine down and made sure that fast food drink containers fit in). i then unscrewed my center console compartment top, lined the funnel screw hole up with one of the center console compartment screw holes, screwed it down with the "already came with your car screws", and BAM...there you go, you now have a cupholder! it is pretty sturdy and cups rest on the hump in between the floor of the two rear seats. this does not fit the LARGE drinks...those fit nicely into the ashtray, after you remove the ashtray! definitely ghetto, BUT functional and CHEAP! paint it if you want!

I tried ONCE to hold the cup between my legs while trying to drive my 5-speed----that's why I only tried it once. In my S14, putting the drink in center console w/ a pack of smokes crammed in the spare space works great!

*sigh* my only REAL beef with my s14 is the lack of 32 oz beverage securement.... but thanks to buying so many parts in such a short time i dont have money to even go to the drive through anymore so its hardly a problem >_<
but seriously now, get some of the 1 or 2 inchs of really dense foam, the kind with the stick backing, and make a little ring that'll stick into that empty spot in the center console. works well if you get some pretty dense foam....
remember to rotate the liquid so the tofu doesnt break =p

when my brother was first looking for an RPS13 we found one in a dealership and it had a built in cup holder on it. although it was on the back on top of the small storage bin (i dont know what its called... it next to the lighter) there were space for two cups. it was pretty much just the cover for the compatrment but it was cool. it also looked like it was missing stuff. oh wells u might understand what im saying. holla

The door pocket on S13s makes a dandy place to stick a 20 oz. bottle...
Hey Redline Racer: Check your PM/e-mail. I'm local, I'm thinking about building a stereo like yours, I wanna hear it...

You could just go to a local fast food restaurant like Carl's Jr. an pick up TWO of the cardboard 2 drink holders. You want two because it makes it a more secure holder when you cram your drink down into the holder. Granted it may not be the best thing for you, but hey it works. Just don't be driving like a maniac and it won't spill.
Or if you were to be creative, you could get a small piece of wood and cut a couple of different sized holes in it. These holes will be large enough to fit different sized drinks. Then you cut the wood down so that way it can fit into the glove box that sits between the driver and passenger seats. Paint it if you like. Then that way, you can drop it in the glove box, put your drink in it and drive. Wha-la, stable cup holder. Not sure how you sit in the car though, so this might affect how you drive your car IF you have a manual tranny. Plus you can remove it when you want to and store the wood behind your seat or somewhere in your car so you can still use the glove box for other things when you need to.
Or just pile a bunch of stuff behind the passenger seat, then when you get your drink cram the drink between the passenger seat, the rear seat and the hump in the rear. Then put the seat as far back as possible, this should secure the drink and make it pretty stable.
