1st gear grind

when i shift to 1st it grinds ... but if i put it in gently .. it goes in fine.. i just can't do it quickly.. obviously this is a pain.. is this common with s13s? or is there something wrong with my synchros? transmission oil?.. etc

go with Redline transmission fluid/cleaner.  makes every gear go in smoother w/ no grind, etc.

Mine goes in roughly (it somewhat hesitates when going into first) but it never grinds unless it's to my own fault. But I also heard of redline as a good brand.

Redline MTL fluid is great stuff but if ur 1st gear synchro is going bad itll help but wont fix. use the Redline and take it easy on 1st...could last long time!

Hey, where do you find that redline stuff?  and how much is it?  What weight?

good speed shop, even domestic. Red Line part #50204
(SAE 70W80 gear oil). let me know if u have prob finding.
