Just got a SR 62 Ecu off of a local guy. I had to replace my SR E5 ecu because I believe it's fried causing major problems in the car.

My E5 had a blown circuit in it (black mark on the circuit track) So I get this 62 ecu and pop the cover just to make sure it looks ok.

I notice a mini board attached to the main board with two eproms. I understand chipping Honda ecu's and have done several. So to me this 62 ecu looks chipped but that is why I am asking a question.

I am not at home to compare the e5 board to the 62 board to see if the e5 is the same.

Any help would be appreciative.

From reading a little in between work, seems like this board is chipped and the small board is the daughterboard.

Honda's had a forum you could see other people's .bin file to use when programming. Does the Nissan community have this? Or can I call a company up and say this is my motor setup, send me the chips so I can install them on this motherboard to run my car?

yes
that is a daughterboard...

tunerpro will let you look at the files... you'll need a burner to view the files on the chips. or you can use either calumsult, datascan, nistune or srtalk to download the contents of the chips with a consult cable.
