Japan trip

Quick question, say one of my best friends is taking a trip to Japan I've been told that you can buy parts for cars dirt cheap such as SR20det, bolt-ons, suspensions kits etc. My question is would it be less expensive for him to purchase this parts and play shipping fees or to log on to websites such as heavythrottle and let them do the dirty work and opions would be apreciated...

If your friend knows what he's doing then he can save a lot of money. He can inspect all the parts himself and get exactly what he wants.

im in the process of setting up with my friend also.....
Theres no way he can bring stuff home carry on luggage, haha...
your best bet would to have something shipped in a container to a nearby dock on the coast somewhere..even at that, its a minimun of $1700 to ship something......everything in Japan is pretty much cheap, and lots of good used parts too....its just the freight, shipping, customs, etc....
