so, i learned the hard way that my car cant go up steep slopes in the snow...lol. i drive a 91 s13 w/ an auto tranny. so last night right around dusk, my friend and i decide to go skiing, i put on my roof rack and pick him up and we head to the hill. it had just snowed the whole day so the roads were fine, but you still had to be cautious. as we were about 1 minute away, i come to the last little hill, and i couldnt get any traction, "oh ****" i say....

we start slipping left and backwards down the hill, trying to get grip somewhere, but its not happening. then we are on the left side of the road and still heading towards the edge. i get grip at the last second but it was too late and my left rear tire got off the road...

i get out and say eh, thats not too bad, and luckly some redneck comes by in two minutes with a huge ram 2500 w/ a chain and "yanks" me out backwards....

so he takes off and i get back in the car with my friend and we try to proceed, and i notice that we cant move...even with the revs high and all we arent going in any gear, not even in reverse..."this just turned into a cluster-****" goes my friend.

i get out of the car yet again and pop the hood and look to see if anything was obviously wrong, and i cant see anything. so i turn around and scratch my head and look at my feet and at first i thought it was blood...oh, wait, nm, thats tranny fluid...

emphisis on that "yank" because when i got pulled out i had gotten snow/ice/crap on top of my little skidplate, just enough to dislodge my left tranny hose that goes to the radiator...

so i hiked to the ski place, luckly it was close, and called my dad to come with 3 quarts of tranny fluid and a 3 ton jack. he gets there and i fix it...or at least i thought i did...

turns out that the hose had a hole in it so it was leaking as i pulled back onto the highway. all of a sudden i lost all power in any gear except second...now picture me driving down the highway at 45 mph in second gear...

well, i get home and fix it... what a dam night...
