Okay, so I'm looking a new exhaust system but I have a question. Is it better to buy a full exhaust system from the flange down or just buy a cat back exhaust?

Full exhaust would be better, but if you dont have enough chedda then you can just go to a muffler shop with your exhaust and just have weld you up a custom piping. Depending 2 1/4 piping would be good for a stock KA. But i have 2 1/2 on my N/A SR and works great with a greddy exhaust.

Depends if you have to worry about cops where you live and i see your in the bay so cops will give you crap if you exhaust is too loud. trust me. I got pulled over plenty of times when i had my straight 3inch exhaust on my car. One time a Cop said he was tailing me and i was setting off car alarms 6 blocks away. I know he was exaggerating but i was kinda proud deep down.:keke: If you dont care go ahead and get 3 inch piping, doesn't really sound THAT much louder then 2.5 inch piping in my opinion. Having an exhaust with a resonator or not really makes the difference if the exhaust will be loud or not. Most people would say 3 inch is to big for NA but someone on this forum did a dyno test with 3 inch and said there is no power loss but power gains throughout the power band.

and to answer your original question Op. Of course its better to get an FULL exhuast system for the car, but you most likely you wont need it since you have to ask. The stock headers on 240 are good enough for a slightly tuned car and having after market headers would only make your car louder. Catback system will do fine.
