Picked up my 240 yesterday, and today I installed some NGK plugs and a cheap air filter. I noticed that there is some oil that appears to be leaking out under the valve cover - so I think that the valve cover gasket could use replacing. How much is a new one?

And more importantly, how easy is it to install? Is it just a matter of taking off a few bolts to get the valve cover off and putting in the new gasket?

Yup.  Should be able to take like 8 or less bolts off.  Haven't taken mine off in a while since the lifters are hydraulic.  Nothing to adjust.  First, though, try tightening the bolts that holds the valve cover down.  Not too tight, remember it's aluminum.  Just take a 3/8 rachet and tighten it with only three fingers, as close to the head of the rachet as possible.  (Eliminates mechanical advantage so you don't over tweak it.)

Thanks I will try that.
