This morning when I started my car it wouldn't go into gear . I tried pumping the clutch in case of an air bubble in the line . No help. So I then shut off the car , and put it in second gear w/ the clutch depressed. When I turned the key the car started rolling forward as it started .(to me that means the clutch is inop.)Then after the engine completely started the clutch started working fine , and has ever since .???Doesn't make any sense to me. Anyone have any ideas???

Bleed your clutch. I used to have an 87 Mazda B2000 with a hydraulic clutch, and that slave cylinder that functions your throwout bearing would develop pits, and the piston would then leak hydraulic fluid.
Same thing is happening in what you describe. Your car starts when the clutch is depressed, yet it starts in gear. Hence, your throwout bearing is not being engaged, which would mean your slave cylinder isn't pushing it forward.
As for why it started acting normally, I can't say. I'd bleed it, inspect the hydraulic lines from master to slave, and go from there.
