I dont have many pics of this setup. ideas around this swap is because my stock 22re 5 speed popped out of 1st constantly taking off from lights. 2nd would grind, 3rd and 4th would only work if you put it in gear and moved to the side and 5th would howl like a mofo. 22re had to go. I basically got a free rb20det with 1.8mm tomei head gasket, hks timing belt and new oem water pump. The customer couldn't pay the bill for work I did.

The truck weight 2580 with full tank (14 gallons).

I will post pictures under this post. Its a nice motor hauler and junkyard smasher. lol.

or at least a top mount from a z31 rb20det

Your right I should have used some sort of intercooler but basically I did this swap for a for a little under 500. I had the s13 sr20 radiator that i had mocked up a while back in my datsun 1200. All I had to pay for was getting the driveline work done, radiator hoses, coolant, oils.. The hot pipe with no blow off valve was to keep it budget. I wasn't going for a race truck in any means. The truck on a dynojet put down 213whp and 187 trq after a 80 mile trip and it was hot. this was at stock boost. I basically dyno the truck because i wanted to see the afr with stock fuel pump. well just as i thought the pump was not good enough. 13.0 to 1 afrs. I took a 255 from a 240sx and it fits up perfectly. I will eventually do a fmic most likely but not at this time. I need this truck for hauling crap around in. :) oh btw if you notice the 2500 coilpack cover... well i have a rb20 one i just couldn't find it at the time.

eh?

Oh yea i saw this truck at the in-n-out meet in dublin or pleasanton (dont really know what city i was in, lol)

Shit is crazy. Funny thing is that when you started it up and at idle it sounds like your average 22r pickup.

LOL! This is insane! If you sell kits, I'll take/buy my dad's tacoma and swap an RB.

You should have gone that night christian lol

Yes your right.. on sunday i had a appointment at venus-auto with ronald to get 2 s14 sr20det motorsets, i also purchased 11 s13 front crossmembers and he gave me 4 sets of front lower control arms. with all this in my truck and the tires looking super low almost flat it still managed to do a 7800 rpm rev limiting brake stand lol.

22r is so fucking gutless. we just put another 22r in my sisters truck...fucking why?

Got damnit, i suggested an sr. anything is better than 2.4l 22r ..feels like 50 hp! 22r+35's+4.88's= need more power.

Thanks. Well not much buety in the truck itself it looks like shit. dents and dings all over it. the bed on the other side somone hit .. lol yeh but if you had a rb20det laying around you got for 200 bucks and a slow ass crappy 22re... i think you may have thought up the same thing. truthfully if your thinking i should have put rb in a 240 or somthing sporty well.. no need been there done that. I would have wrather sold the rb then put it in a 240sx for any type of motorsport.

Whats even more funny is I have a ls1 t56 combo I planned to put in there but I put it in my rhd s13 instead.. also a 91 cressida was option to get that transplant.. my shop is Daft Innovations, daft: adjective 1. insane; mad crazy; stupid. INNOVATIONS. All I like doing it weird stuff.

haha that is sweet... but i wouldnt waste time with a fmic either a top mount would seem fairly easy to make work and not so much hassel with piping. either way sweet swap!

only reason I keep my 22r is because I don't like the 7m and I want to keep 4wd. I'm building it up to hit some trails this summer. An rb is tempting and I would throw one in if I could keep 4wd. Oh and if any one doesn't know about it check out Supracharged.com - The Official Toyota Supra Swap Site - Supra 7MGTE, 2JZGTE conversions and more (http://www.supracharged.com)

anyways It dyno 246hp and 271trq.

best run 13.28 at 101.96 with 1.975 60 ft.
worst run 13.58 at 100.01 with 2.08 60 ft.

i guess I should have just started a new thread lol. The old rb was given back to customer. This has always been my truck. anyways I swapped a 1uzfe with w58 into it because I desperately needed my shop truck back. I need to redo the rear suspension with a cantilever mounted shock setup. the tubular strut towers that holds the s13 coilovers protrudes to far up into bed area. I'm guessing no one noticed the rear of truck has camber.

here is some pic I found someone took 2 years ago.
