I normally just read and not post but this time I've searched to no avail or come up with some complicated stuff. I'm still getting into the whole wiring electric stuff but I'm a fast learner so if I sound dumb sometimes please excuse me!
Well anyways I just got heated mirrors from a member on here and I was wondering if i could use the heated function on these. They have two wires coming out of the trace. I was wondering if it uses 12v and can I somehow hook it up with the same switch as my rear defroster.
Thanks in advance,

Cool. Did you do anything special or just splice them in? Any fusible links?

UK. All cars in the mainland overseas get them.
I hooked mine up per the UK FSM, through a relay triggered by the rear defrost signal. You can catch it at the smart entrance control unit on S14s since it includes the timer module, the actual trigger from the switch is just a momentary signal and won't work.

Where would i be able to find the uk fsm? if anything i'll just follow the defroster lines and just tap into that. is that right?

Download it just like any other FSM. You can also just use the US FSM to find the signal wire from the timer to the defrost relay, that's the one you want. As I said, the switch input to the timer is a momentary signal and won't work. IIRC it's a blue/red wire you want but double check it. Use it as a ground trigger to a relay to power the mirrors. Done and done.
