View Full Version : JB weld thermostat housing?

Gah, shit can never be simple for me!

Replacing thermostat, the block snapped right where the thermostat goes. What happened is the thermostat slipped from its recess and as i tightened the housing, it created some weird pressure and broke this off.

Think I can JB weld it back on? If not, im fucked.

yeah jb welded it
and id then put silicone on the outside to make sur enothing leaks thru
use that bathroom type

yea it's sitting right now, gonna let it set overnight.

I had a light on it since 4pm yesterday.

Seems to be solid, so ill go ahead and reinstall everything.

I snapped a subframe stud, my 1st thought was 350z, but I gave it a few days of rest and thought, and Im glad I didnt run out and buy a new car.

Nah, this car just isnt worth putting money into. You guys should see the rust on it... passenger rocker came off, interior is falling appart, etc. It's supposed to be my reliable daily.

Most likely gonna look at 2002 ish civics. I can find one for like 3-4k around here in good shape.
