I just bought a used old recaro from somebody, and it has no brackets, rails, or sliders. I'm wondering what are the exact parts I need to put it in my s13 and what's the best combo that is bang for the buck? Something safe, yet budget minded.

get a aftermarket rail (bride is what i had)
or take it somewhere and have them make a custom one.

I got the bride low mounts with sparco torrinos and they are great. I think they were 180 shipped a piece from 240sxmotoring
Bride FG rails for the driver's side, hard mount the passenger seat with a custom bracket. I actually have some Recaro rails from Japan on the passenger side I'm getting rid of to drop a few pounds and hard mount the passenger seat if you would be interested as a fellow BF.com dude.

bottom mount? side mount?
They are side mount Recaro rails that have the sliders underneath the seat. They weigh about 2 lbs more than my Bride FGs. They came with my SPG replica seat from Japan, hence they fit the right hand side of the car.
They mount the seat about the same height as stock, maybe a half an inch lower.
