Hey guys i need to replace the clutch for my blacktop s13. Im having trouble finding what clutch to pick. The car has an hks gt-rs turbo and ill be aiming for 400 later this year. The car currently has a nismo clutch from what i understand (i haven't found out for sure though). It defiantly has a stiffer pressure plate and nismo slave.
I like to take the car to the drag strip and the occasional autocross and whatnot. The car is not a car i can drive on the street though and I've heard that some "performance" clutches don't necessarily need to be broken in for the clutches longevity but more or less of reducing the initial drive train shock.
Can I get some help on finding a clutch that would fit my needs? No garbage XTD/ebay clutches. Im also weary of Spec's reputation. A friend of mine reccomended Competition Clutch, but im not sure what stage or if i want/need a multiple puck clutch.
Also should i just shop for just a new clutch disk since the car already has an upgraded press. plate?

I run dxd racing/southbend clutch also. The brand isn't very well known but they make some really quality clutches. I love mine. I also know of a z31 and a z32 that are both in the 400-500 hp range and they both run them.

I heard ACT is good, but I got the Exedy stage 1. It's pretty smooth and a little stiffer than stock. Great for an aggressive Daily drive.

ACT...
For your needs I would say probably say Heavy Duty 6 Puck Sprung, or if you like the heavier pedal Xtreme 6 Puck Sprung. This is assuming the car isn't being street driven as you said. If you intend to drive it on the street I would stick with a street disc.
