short hub and nardi deep corn horn?

My problem is that i have a nardi deep corn 350mm and i want it to sit as close to stock position as possible. I purchased a nrg short hub but my problem was that the horn button wouldn't go on and so i sold it. I know i dont want to add a quick release because it pushes the steering wheel too far out for me. my question is, if i get a worksbell short hub will I have the same problem? Or is it my only option is to use a regular size hub to get that horn button on? thanks for anyone that have any input.

IIRC

stock position = NRG short hub, NRG non-slim QR, non-dished steering wheel.

I think you need the NRG slim QR ontop of a slimmer hub


that was my understanding, because i was thinking about this when looking for setups. but someone should validate this.

I too was bothered by this a few weeks ago. In the long run I ended up just keeping my deep dish and not buying the quick release. You might have to decide on one or the other as well

I was going for the same thing. I have the deep corn and a momo hub... the momo one is too tall. Just need to fine one slightly taller than the NRG short hub.

On the up side, i kinda like the feel of where the wheel is now. I can put the seat all the way back and recline a little and still reach the wheel. Im 6'3 btw.

yeah I'm only 5'7 and so its harder for me with my seat up front and the wheel closer to my chest. anyone know if the worksbell short hub will work? because i read on one of these threads that it was slightly taller than the nrg hub.

Im 6'2" i love my setup wb qr, wb shorthub and nardi deep dish. Close to stock

6'0" NRG short hub, NRG 2.5 QR and nardi deep cone. But I like my wheel closer than stock.

You should see if you can get a local with a short hub to test your horn button.

just a thought here
before i was really skeptical about getting a regular hub + regular size QR
but after trying out my setup, i actually liked it much more than the stock "distance"

but i think from ur post, you already tried it and didnt like it?

I'm running nardi deep corn with worksbell short hub and I think it's great. The horn fits into the hub, but actually the hub is a bit larger than the nardi horn so it does rattle a bit. I'm sure that could be fixed by slipping a rubber ring around the nardi horn.

I'm 5'7" myself and I find the wheel sits pretty close to stock.

Hey bro, i want to get a similar set up with the nardi deep dish but i want to add a quick release. I want the wheel as close to stcok position as possilble Do you think itll be way off with the QR on there? And yes i do realize the date of post ha sorry for bringing it back
