Need Help

wut up everyone i need ur help again. The other day my car started to idle very rough it would jump from 500rpm to 1200rpm, and the car would shake. so i did some research and came across this (How TO: Clean a redtop IACV valve with carb cleaner: SR20DET Forum (rear-drive): Nissan Forums / Infiniti Forums - NICOclub (http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/251731)). I did everything step by step but now my car wount start i have no idea wut to do next so any suggestions would be great.


P.S motor is an s13 sr20det blacktop if that makes a difference.

You used a chlorinated carb cleaner?

i used carb+choke cleaner

Yeah, that's probably chlorinated. Look at the ingredients. You need to use "sensor safe", Non-Chlorinated and/or MAF cleaner.

You probably melted your IACV.

Did you put the Idle screw back in all the way?

i didnt tightin the idle screw down all the way, should i. Oh and i looked on the bottle but it doesnt list the ingredients.

you should take off the IAVC, and inspect it for damage, i doubt it is damaged but better safe then sorry, also when u take it off u can check for any forign matter that my have gotten in there.
