My tachometer used to work fine until I made one small mistake. I was replacing the main wire from the alternator to the fuse box and didn't know about the plastic washer on the alternator bolt. I accidentally blew the main fuse when I reconnected the battery.
After replacing the main fuse and putting the plastic washer on the alternator bolt, the car starts up fine, but I lost my tach. I rechecked all the fuses underneath the steering wheel and in the engine bay. I also check that all the wires in the engine bay were connected. The yellow/green wire that goes next to the starter was loose, so I thought that was the tach wire and reconnected it. But still no tach readings. I checked the service manual and it says there is a "fusible link and fuse", but I can't find it.
Can anyone come by and help me out tell me what else I'm missing? I'm in the (510).
