So my car hasnt been in the best condition for while now. I been driving with a horrible boost leak which i just found and fix yesterday. So now although i have no boost leak my car is mifiring really bad. sounds like im running on three cylinders. The car sounds somewhat like a wrx. i thought from running rich for so long (cuz of the boost leak) maybe my fuel filter may be clogged or dirty or maybe i had fouled up plugs. so i changed both of these today but still have the problem.

i am also running pretty lean, sumtimes even under throttle. what could this be?

Is your car able to hold a stable idle?
If so then you are only stumbling during throttle. Which means you have a boost leak still.

If not, then I suggest you unplug each coil pack/spark plug wire one by one.

Take note if it makes a change in idle. If you notice no change when you unplug any given cylinder then investigate that particular coil/plug.

Do the same for each injector, unplugging one by one.

Take note if it changes anything.

Also try to unplug your maf to notice if you have any change in idle.

its holds a steady idle most of the time, although sometimes when i rev the engine as rpms drop it may drop to a stall unless i tough the cas a little bit. other times it revs up and idles fine at 1k but still has that wierd fluttering noise like a wrx all through the rev and at idle too.

ill try the things you mentioned above, hopefully i figure this out soon.

Do you think that maybe im running so rich that my wideband sees it as lean? i have an safc which is adding fuel but no matter how much i add i still end up with the same result.
