View Full Version : Should I go to West. Co Nissan for a tech inspection?

I'm just looking for some opinions/suggestions for my situation:

'91 KA S13 nearly stock daily driver, owned for over a year now, just want to make sure she keeps chugging along and nothing unexpectedly breaks on me, especially since I treat her a little rough sometimes.

I can do very basic stuff like oil changes and brakes on my own, but I'm far from a mechanic so I'm just looking for some place legit that can take care of my car.

I spoke with someone at West Covina Nissan a while ago and they said a tech inspection in which they check every nook and crannie of the car is $60 and that amount can be applied towards whatever they find that needs to be fixed.

They could also, however, just give me a list of what's wrong for $60 and I can choose a shop at my discretion, however idk of too many reputable shops for maintenance work and such on KAs.

I've been to Shutoko Engineering in Rowland Heights, Johnson is cool, but SRs seem to be more his thing. I also know of Masa in Rowland Heights as well...

What can you guys suggest for me?
Thanks

oh btw, I'm in Fontana, trying to stay within 30 miles.

Masa in the MAN. I freaking love that guy.

Go to him. He'd like the additional business.

James at G-Dimension does a bunch of nice work there, don't know if they would do any kind of like tech inspection/repair, but I know they fully build a lot of cars. Located in City of Industry I believe.

Agreed on G dimension. James supplies the clean work. Also, Masa IS the man. I bought his beater SA22C off him lol :p Great work from him too.
