Read in one magazine that had sorta like a tips and tricks article, that nissans respond well to a thicker ground than factory for the MAF? I was wondering if it would be the same for ecu...and best way to go about doing both?

S14 KA specifically

thanks for any ideas or suggestions..I tried searching..but most were harness issues or something not really related

Bolting it to the body.

Oh wait, nissan already did that...

On my N62 MAF it has two grounds. One wire to the ECU I kept stock and the other I used IIRC 10 or 12 guage wire to a good chassis ground.

I noticed much cleaner readings for my signal voltage and had a slightly better idle but you wont make any more power if that is what you are wondering.

for some reason my n62 wont run good with ground to ecu and chasis

i taped the ground backinto the ecu ground and the car runs smooth

Nah wasn't really looking to make more power...more so making the most of what is alreayd there. I've had some random idle and driving issues..and I recalled that magazine. Is a N62 maf a s14 KA maf? Not familiar with the names for different types of nissan mafs.

Right now just looking for ways to make my car most efficient besides normal maintenance.

S14 MAF is a G70. There's no real benefit to be had unless you do have a ground problem, I've seen a few S13s with a ground wire ran because somewhere in the harness it deteriorated, but it's smarter to repair the harness than to bandaid it by adding a ground for the hell of it.

If you have more than .009mv in your ground wire on the MAF you should reground, Nissan even put out a TSB stating this.

Alright now I know what a s14 KA maf is called lol..thanks for all the input. Yeah the magazine had various car tips, and this was just one of them (thicker maf ground). I was wondering if anyone had done it before.

Thanks
