How many spark plug wires?

I know it sounds like a dumb question but I didnt go check under my hood yet to see if there are 6 wires.   I bought a set of Bosch Premium spark plug wires(and spark plugs) and i got 6 wires with it
I know that there are 1 for each cyinder and then 1 for the ignition correct?  Is there a 6th one or could of he giving me the wrong box?

hey thorpedo....if u havent figured it out yet, post back with the Bosch part # off the box AND what year car u have and ill check if its the correct set.

yup.....should b correct set. wire sets will often come with an extra wire or 2 so the kit will fit more cars...... cheaper for manufacturer! if the wires fit ur ok, keep the others around, maybe a friend might need!

A standard set for a four-cyllinder comes with five wires. Probably got sixth by mistake maybe? If it came with six and could fit more cars, then... well, there are VERY few cars that have five-cyllinders. Perhaps they just made a mistake at the packaging line.
