H4 is a housing/bulb conversion
HID is the lighting you see on Lexus, S2000, BMW, Audi, etc. the bright sharp lit one. sucks to be in front of it, great to be behind the wheel with it.
Diamond cut and Euro is for TuNeRz.
stick w/ H4 conversion and HID. HID cost around 300ish these days. H4 conversion will run you about 100 bucks (Hella H4)

Assuming this is for an S13...
The silverstar doesn't come in a sealed-beam format. waste of money anyway... any headlight that advertises itself based on "color temperature" and "HID look" or other such nonsense is a pile of crap. Sylvania's standard headlights are better than the silverstar.
The Bosch H4 setup is very nice. Use the standard bulbs they provide with the kit.

I beg to differ. I just put in the the Bosch kit from PDM and I went ahead and threw some silverstars in there. They were a noticable improvement. If your looking for color then these would not be the best choice I guess. If you stand in front of the car and look at headlights they look basically stock (not white, blue, purple, or any other color . . . just normal yellowish white) BUT at night the difference is very clear. It throws out a nice bright white light onto the ground. I got these because I have to drive on alot of backroads with no street lights for miles and the sealed beams just didn't cut it. I generally agree with the color statement made by AKA and I only chose to try these out having seen the difference it made on my friend's C5. If you are looking to be noticed then try something else. . . if you honestly need to see better at night then these will not dissapoint.

No the biggest difference in light output comes from the lens design as I understand it. Let me tell you it is well worth it even if you do use the standard Osram bulbs the kit comes with.
well, maybe depend about your $$$ .if you dont want spend a money ,the best option is H4.But its you decision.
I my case a install the H4.(much cheaper:D ).
This a pics about it.

yeah the commercial is pretty dumb i just saw it friday night. but i have had the sealed beam silverstars in my ae86 for a month now and i love em. i get compliments on them all the time and cops cant mess with you. they arent blue or purple or anything. just really intense white that looks really clean and bright. hey im rapping like that wrx guy hahaha okay thats enough.
BTW my 240 is now RUNNING!!
