Description:
This is one of my T28s. Normal shaft play, spins freely. Blows absolutely zero smoke. Made 290 whp and around the same for torque at 14psi on this turbo. Usually ran it between 10-14psi. Will include the manifold, some lines are on there(forgot which) and a brand new copper gasket. Also, the nuts were tack welded to the flange. At one point the nuts started coming lose, quick tack weld assures those nuts are going absolutely nowhere.

just for furture reference that why they make locking tab so you dont have to weld like that. those works.

just for future reference, no one cares. If you're not interested in buying it, then dont post. Tack welding it works just fine.

Can't do that. Numbnuts went and basically welded the turbo to the manifold.

Brilliance, I say.

arg. my buddy had that done to his 2871 then blew the motor, wanted to sell the turbo to me for a ka-t and well...i pulled it and realized the flanges, yes the flanges, were welded together. what a douche nozzle.

those welds dont look very strong he may be able to break them plus their only tacks

You know whats brilliant? Your response. The tacks could easily be grinded off. It's not a big deal.

That's completely different than welding the nuts to the flange.

This was on my S14 SR.

Are you a welder? Do you anything about welding or do you just say things just to increase your post count? The tacks on something so small as the nuts don't go under enough stress for them to just snap off. I've had this on my setup for over 2 years. Never a problem. Theres no stress cracks, nothing.
