When i got my clip i checked the oil pan and it looked ok a few minor dings and scrapes but thats it. Anyways after starting the car it gained oil pressure instantly. I primed it of course. And then while idling the light was out. But during driving the light would flicker on and of, most of the time when i punch the gas for a sec. Any was i checked the wiring and sender first to check if there was and troubles there, But nope. I pulled th epan and noticed a mark where the pickup had hit the bottom of the pan. So i beat the crap out of it with a hammer and no more light problems. The point is no matter how goo dthe pan looks pull it off just for the hell of it to check things out. Had i taken my car on the highway im sure it could have done some damage with heavy driving. Just figured i would pass the info

yes if you buy a motorset they often rest on the oilpan. its HIGHLY recomended that you buy a new one when you do an SR swap, or risk damaging your engine.

Lol, Thanks for the information man, I do have to say that you had me laughing when you added the part about beating it with a hammer. But I'm glad that you got it working, good job. :)

Its the truth i took that thing out and proped it against the side walk and took the hammer to it and made the pickup area the lowest spot. I be damned if im paying a hundred pluss bugs for a tiny ass pan. thats worth like 20bones

Thanks for the info, I guess I will buy a new one...unless I can find a good hammer.
