hood wont open

went to pop my hood today and it didnt pop i think the line for it is disconnted how can i pop my hood with out damaging it?

...I just read the "without damaging it" part, took all the fun out of the thread haha.

I just went through this on my Volvo. I had to take the grille out and then weezle around to pull down the latch...i don't know if you can do that on an S Chassis as I removed my latch when I got my Fiberglass hood.

Jack up the car and get under it, use a flash light and locate the cable and follow it to the latch then pull the latch (or just find the latch). This happened to me too but I don't have a 240 but anyways try that way out.
