I'd have to call someone to check, but out in Rancho Cordova, every first Friday of the month, a few datsun guys get together. I've always been meaning to go, but never have the chance. It might be cool to get the S chassis and Z's/510's together for a bigger meet.

tap x has a decent size parking lot, and tap X owners usually dont kick people out for loitering unlike many of the starbucks when people try to throw meets at starbucks.

As for meet on the 7th/8th, I think day might be a bit better too, or at least meet at like 5:00 so theres at least a little light for a bit. Sat or Sun will be A-OK with me!

BTW: WagDatto, the first friday meets out in Rancho are pretty chill. I went out there once when I had my 72 2-door. Mostly older guys and families. At least the time I went. I dont know how they would feel about a bunch a bummy 240 kids dirtying up the parking lot lol

on the weekends sac state doesnt require parking stickers. And at night theres hardly anybody there even on the weekdays after about 9 though. Cops are pretty chill, i work about 10 feet from them.

Yeah, we show up as everyone's finding a place to park... Then all the honda kats parked over by themselves, and more people parked way over there.... Like, if you show up and see people parked in the middle of a lot with plenty of open space, and you're there for the same meet, have some sense and park with them regardless of make/model. Fuck, I BURIED my Datsun in the middle of all the 240's because for those of us taking pictures, it makes life easier.

Ended up getting the cops called on us early because people feel like any car meet is a chance to flex their penis and try to slide around in a parking lot. I thought we were all (for the most part) adults here and have not only the BRAIN, but also the decency to leave quietly if you're splitting early so that those of us trying to have a good time can do so without having to deal with cops.

Cops are the reason we chose the location we did, not because a parking garage=TOKYO DORIFTO. It annoyed the hell out of me because when the first guy did it, and we all commented on how much of a tool he was for doing so (the RB 240sx, I'm talking about you), everyone leaving after him decided to follow suit.

Hell, I chose to modify a 510 because I didn't have to deal with the BS that most 240sx guys have to, but you roped me into it. My car's louder than most (I understand it's asking for trouble and I'd deal with it if I brought it upon myself), but you put us all in a tight spot when you shout out to get the cops called on us.

That's my rant for the night. Thanks, Sunny for putting on a good show and getting the group all out, I'm just bummed that people in this crowd at least, don't have proper "Car Meet Etiquette" and end up spoiling everyone else's fun. I feel bad for the people with the spooled diffs that had to leave because the cops had to threaten everyone that chirped and revved with misdemeanor charges and 30-day tow-aways. Hope everyone ended up getting out okay and got home safe as it started to sprinkle.

I blame the location for part of it, the natomas meet didnt nearly have as many people driving like they were being filmed for fast and the furious. (ends rant) I got a few crappie pics from my iphone ill post up later.

Yeah, no problem on lending a helping hand last night. My phone battery took a hit (a bar from shining light on the coils for an hour! ahaha), but at least it was dry and fairly nice out.

We got the GReddy strut bar and AEM intake hooked up last night/this morning. Her car's starting to come together and pep right up!

I mentioned it to a few people, but when the weather clears up a little more (end of the month, early next month maybe?) I'll set up another meet/cruise like I did last year. The drive was a lot of fun, cool scenery, and hopefully a few new people will come out, but keep their dicks in their pants as far as showing off and drifting around.

I dont know antelope area to well, but I went to a meet in antelope area and I thought the park was nice, decent amount of room, and not to far for me to get there. I think a few of you know about this park because some of you went to this meet back in 2005. Here are some pics of that meet, so if any of you recgonize this park thats my vote to hold the next meet at.

I vote 19th of April, The end of april I am going abalone diving, then the week after that my cousin is coming over from japan to get married in the Napa Valley at the Auberge du Soleil.

I don't believe we need a permit, because technically it's just a bunch of people getting together and eatting (kinda like how people do birthday parties at a park).

Also, the site says they have 4 BBQ's, so if we WANT, I can fit somebody's (small) BBQ in the back of the 'Goon. They have 48 off-street parking spots, and I'd assume there will be other people there, so be sure it's first-come-first-serve for parking.

Set rules on parking this time around. AKA, you need to be hard parked if you're with the group of cars (for picture taking's sake!), and whoever's organizing (or helping) needs to get there early to direct people where to park. If you don't want your license plate on the internet, remove it or cover it when you get there!

No revving, burnouts, donuts, racing, roasting 1st, dropping 2nd, chirping 3rd, drifting, dragging, scuba diving or other general nonsense.

When you start the new thread, start making a list of who is bringing what. It ties them down to actually show up, rather than just saying they will. Plan it for middle-to-end of April to give the Bay Area and Yuba/Chico cats plenty of time to plan the day off from work or grandma's birthday party.
