So I have a friend who is a total idiot. Yet not more stupid than me since I left my car with him.

He took things apart in order to test his own car and in an attempt to put things back the way they were. I dont know what the hell he did and well now the Alternator Fuse keeps blowing.

no matter how many times i've changed it, it still blows. This fuse is expensive and hard to come by at the junk yard so can anyone please help me.

What could be causing the problem and ummm since the fuse keeps blowing is there a cheap remedy for the moment? I need the car to work, and certainly need the accesories to work.

Thanks ahead of time. (**SOLVED**)

Problem #2

I am now experiencing a weird issue with the car turning on but rpms dropping so low that the car stalls and shuts off. It is as if the timing is off. Im sure thats not the problem but its my only way to describe it.

So ill be driving and come to a stop light and off it goes. Apparently my buddy removed the MAF, Intake Tube, and Alternator. Is there by any chance some sort of major vaccuum leak that is causing this? Thanks for the input.

Between the terminal and the alternator casing there should be a plastic piece that likes to fall off alot....if thats not there put something in between there to keep it from grounding out. This happened to me once, very frustrating.

Bingo. 99% of the time that's it.

Thank You VERY much... that was exactly the problem. And what really pissed me off was that my friend knew that plastic piece fell off and still installed it that way only to find himself surprised as to why the fuse kept blowing.

I owe you guys thank you so much.

Vacuum leak. Plenty of hoses he could have left off.
