so i wrecked my 180sx. i picked up a 97 s14! both front and back glasses are gone! i was debating to buy brand new windsheilds or.......buy lexan from home depot and put it on! but my questions are, does lexan fade or turn yellow? does it get scratched easily? how do you install it? rivets, sealants? its a track car but i dont want drift with faded windows!

lexan is pretty useless as a windscreen, you won't see shit and it will be ugly.

It's not like you're building a racecar and i doubt you wanna replace it often.

Plus i don't know if lexan windshields are even allowed.

no, not road legal (Even if people DO use them on the roads...) and yes, they scratch REALLY EASY...

do you really NEED to lose THAT weight? it's the only improvement... it's a track car not a pro car so it's up to you with what you want...

you need an 8 layer polycarbinate mold, with scratch protection on both sides.

Asking if a flat sheet of lexan is good for a curved windshield is like asking zilvia permission to have sex with a man. Pretty gay if you ask me.

you know whats scary, how google is so fast at scanning the internet.

I googled "8 layer polycarbinate mold, with scratch protection"

and it was already first front page on google... like holy crap, everything we say the very instant! Think about that lol.

Anyways back to topic, what the hell is 8 layer polycarbonate mold with scratch protection
