Ok i gave up trying to figure out for today whats wrong with my freaking cluster. It was working just fine all the time up untill today. I was doing some wiring to get the s14 cluster into the s13 and i used two different harnesses, oh and please dont ask why i'm putting an s14 cluster into an s13, just am. Anyways i did all the wiring which looked right and plugged it in. Everything but the speedo and tach worked, so i thouhg some stuff is mixed up. I put the stock cluster in with a totally differnt harness and nothing but the light and turn signals work. WHAT THE HELL. I tried changing harnesses and using friends cluster. I give up for today and trying to gather up info so i can tackle it tomorrow. So can it be the ecu? Or something else? Any tips helpful.

What year of s13, what engine? Did you check your fuses?

89 s13 with sr. Using dual cam harness and everything. Checked fuses.
did you connect the connector on the passenger side that go's up to the dash harness?

did u check the fuse box in the engine bay? there is a fuse in there that goes to your cluster, sounds like while doing the wiring, u might have blown that fuse on accident and not even realize it...i had blown mine without knowing from my wheel rubbing some wires on my harness, and had the same problems ur having now

Hmm i'll check out the one under the hood. Weird thing is though, today i replaced the fuse by the kick panel and everything started working EXCEPT the RPM. So as of now everything but the RPM work. I'll check under the hood, but i just dont get why my RPM wont work now. Is there like a separate fuse for it? I dont think so...?

So this is where i'm at. Everything works on my cluster but the RPM. Whats weird is when i put a new fuse in i saw my RPM needle jump like its trying to work. Did i fry the cluster itself? Or maybe the ecu? Help please... track event coming up, would like to see my RPM's
