When income taxes come in (providing I get back as much as I think I am), I'm gonna be doing a basic suspension overhaul, along with some other parts I've been putting off... and I need some opinions.
First, what do people think of Project Kics spacers? I hear bad things about ichiba, and FRsport doesn't list the sizes I want in H&R bolt-on type rather than slip-on.
Second, I hear Megan Racing has gotten a lot better over the past couple years, and they seem to be an affordable option for RUCAS and front Tension Rods. I'll either go with them or Circuit Sports components. What is Zilvia's take?
Third, what does the rear traction rod do, and when do I need to consider replacing it? The car's going on coilovers, and I dunno how it will effect the traction rod.
Thanks guys ;)

I've never needed spacers.. I guess as long as they are hubcentric they should be good?
I've never had personal experience with Megan but as you probably already read/heard they're not highly regarded. I use SPL...:)
I'd get rear upper arms and toe rods before considering getting traction.
What is the purpose of the car?

Daily driver that will eventually see local autocross events. Reason for the RUCAs and such is to correct my camber and toe and such caused by lowering the car.

Your thread is loaded. There are many things going on.
Other than the 3 direct questions you asked, do you want to hear any other advice on finances and autocross setup?

lol no. I figured it would be better to load than start a bunch of threads. Yes, I realize car's aren't a good investment blah blah blah...
As far as autocross advice, I don't need any yet because it will go right over my head until I have a chance to experience it.

what coils are you getting?
what wheels do you currently have?
how much camber do will you be running?
you can run a decent amount of negative camber on the stock arms, just to let you know. I remember someone telling me duffman's S14 was on stock arms.. I doubt his toe in the rear is close to 0 but it can be done.

K-Sport Kontrol Pro. Already on the car. I love the way they ride, and every hater out there that says they suck without having any first hand experience can get deez nutz.
5Zigen FN01R-C, 17x8 front, 17x9 rear. I think they're +35 all the way around. I can't tell, and the guy I got them from is pretty much useless cause he can't remember. Needless to say, I had to run spacers to clear the coilovers. They're 10mm slip-on type and that doesn't fly with me cause 1) they're slip-ons, 2) I have less thread engagement than I feel safe with. I'm upping the spacers to 15mm KICS in the front, (maybe)20mm KICS in the rear... bolt-on of course...
EDIT: The more I think of it, I might want the 20's up front, 15's in the rear. I dunno. I'll play with them.
I'll be running as close to stock camber as possible until I get into running the car in small autox meets.
The car is gonna be lowered about 2" (rough guess) in the front, maybe 1.75" in the rear, to give it a decent stance just slightly raked. How would I know if I need to get RUCAs? I'm gonna have a decent shop do an initial four wheel alignment to get rid of my current issues and use that as a baseline for any further tweaking.

I have kics.... Slip on under 10mm is fine.... Not a big deal. Doesn't need to be hubcentric cause nissans are lug centric...
17x9 4 lugs are always +20. Rare they are +35. No spacers needed for +20's.
No RUCA's needed for drop. I have the same setup for what you all talked about here...
Traction rods = useless unless you have worn out bushings.
INVEST IN TOE RODS. As you get some camber, factory toe adjustment in the rear is a joke... Gotta get rear tow rods good ones too.
Megan TC rods are fine in the front as not a big deal unless its made out of 2 pieces of sheet metal. I have CS and they are fine for track and AutoX.
Project kics 15mm I have for 2 years not one problem.... BUT use anti seize for ALL your lug nuts and Kics Spacers. Trust me you don't want to have a seized project kic spacer and if its seized, your done.... new hub time.
