View Full Version : "High Performance Tires"
my tires seem to drive ok when the car is cold and the rubber is cold... is there a difference in HP tires that makes them need to be warmed up to run the best?

All rubber will get somewhat softer with an increase in temperature. Normal tires are so hard to begin with that warming them up won't make much of a difference. If you have a softer compound performance tire, some improvement may be seen...but the tires that get the most benefit from a warm-up burnout are R compound.
