more like a rattling noise and its coming from my head. its rpm relevant too. it got a bit better when I noticed the oil was a little low so I added some but even at full its still there doesn't go away when warm/cold/under power/at idle. thinkin its something in my rocker arm assembly but let me know what you think.

Rocker arm could possibly be loose. Open the valve cover and check any loose bolts and such. Could very well be your timing chain guides as it is a sohc. Have you changed the timing chain and guides? Before I swapped my KAe for an SR in 01 my timing chain guides broke and when I took off the oil pan there were 8 pieces at the bottom. Motor still ran decently tho. LOL.
