looking to upgrade my fpr and need some help picking one out... now i have a s14 sr so shoot me some ideas
Since you have the s14 sr you will need the adapter for the fuel rail and will need to remotely mount the FPR.
Nismo units are hit or miss. I have only had bad experiences with them. Stay away unless you like resetting your fuel pressure every time you drive.
Sard unit is very nice and you get to use AN fittings. You also get extra points for JDM-tyteness.
Aeromotive unit is also very nice and quite a bit more burly but seems to be pretty much bullet proof. You also must use AN fittings in conjunction with the Sard fuel rail adapter for this one.
I dont know much about the Megan one but I would steer clear.
The Powered by Max one hasnt really been tested as far as I know but for the price I think it would be well worth a try.
You cant go wrong with the Sard or Aeromotive units. Pick whichever one fits your budget and they wont ever give you problems.

SARD adjustable fuel pressure regulators for EFI engines utilizes extra light weight diaphragm assembly that provides excellent pulsation dampening; to dampen the pressure spikes caused by high flow fuel pumps and cycling injectors (especially non-factory high flow fuel injectors).
SARD offers two universal regulators, the Type-R & the normal models. Both models comes in either blue-anodized -6 AN aluminum inlet ports with a 1/8 NPT gage port, or blue-anodized aluminum 8 mm inlet with a 1/8 NPT gage port.
SARD fuel pressure regulators are designed to provide the correct fuel pressure for any high performance fuel injected vehicle. The normal model is designed to be used on fuel injected, non-turbo-charged engines, and it is machined from billet aluminum.
The other universal regulator, Type-RJ, is more expensive, and is designed for fuel injected and turbo-charged engines. Due to its boost compensating design, it can provide more fuel under high turbo boost conditions.
As per the normal model, parts are machined from billet aluminum. Pressure adjustment is made easy on both models by turning the built-in 360 degree nut. Both models are made to bolt in the factory location in most vehicles, so installation is a snap! Range is from 200 to 800KPa (2 to 8 bar).
PSI multiplied by 6.8948 = KPa (Kilopascals)
AEM:
1.4 kg/cm2 (bar) + no info
138 KPa + no info
Aeromotive A1000
30-70 PSI
2.0 - 4.8 kg/cm2 (bar)
206 - 483 KPa
OBX:
1.7 - 4.0 kg/cm2 (bar)
172 - 400 KPA
HKS:
2.0 - 5.0 kg/cm2 (bar)
200 - 500 KPa
Nismo/ Tomei:
2.0 - 6.0 kg/cm2 (bar)
200 - 600KPa
SARD:
2.0 - 8.0 kg/cm2 (bar)
200 - 800KPa
So basically the SARD has the Highest Fuel Pressure... and for the same price as the Nismo/ Tomei... I see this as a good deal. You also get to pick colors and its easy to relocate.
