I just came back from Christmas vaction and discovered this nasty surprise. The brake pedal is stuck halfway and will not move. I was a few blocks away from my house when this happened and managed to get to my home with my four brakes locked. I think my bmc could be causing this but Im not sure, anyone have any advice on what could be causing this?

a few things could cause this, i would start by kust unbolting you master cylinder from your booster, if that releases the pressure your problem is booster, if not i would leave the master loose and open up a bleeder valve at one of the calipers if brake fluid shoots out then your master is no good, brake fluid should drip out not shoot out

I pulled the pedal fowards earlier today and it released the brakes but as I drove again they locked. I`ll do what you said tomorrow.

Yes but not with the brakes, I have a year with this 240 and its the first time it has given me problems.

water in the brake lines? maybe expanding with the heat of braking and causing them to lock up? happened to a friend, bled the system and it fixed the problem

OK. It seemed like a yes or no question, but it really meant "what have you done to your car lately?" It may or may not be effecting your brakes.
