So I just got back from alittle (hard) driving and after parking at my brothers house for a minute my shifter now seems to not want to go in or come out of gear.
After alittle force it will shift, but definitely not as it normally does.
Everything else is fine.
Engines running fine, the shift is smooth, its just that the shifter itself feels like its getting caught on something.

Any clue????

Thanks alot for the help.

If it matters...... 89' ka24e.

Have you checked your trans fluid lately? When i replaced mine i was low and it felt tough getting in and out of gear... To check it, unscrew the TOP plug on the transmission and stick your little finger in, the fluid level should be at the base of the opening. You can also check your clutch fluid level. Hope this helps and its not your trans!

Check your master and slave cylinders. One of them might be leaking. Check behind the carpet under the clutch pedal.

Maybe your clutch is torn apart. When is the last time you replaced your clutch? Something similar happened to me and my clutch turned out to be demolished and shredded. Peices were chopped up and lying around in the bell housing.

spring retainer on your clutch may have broken off and is floating in your bell housing... shit rotates pretty fast in there... it could get caught in between the teeth on your pressure plate causing them not to properly disengage or something like that. i got stuck over some train tracks once because of that... stuck in gear and not moving, sucked ass.

Thanks for the feedback............
Slave-cylinder is leaking.

Anyone find any problems with the "chain-store" replacements, or have a favored one I should look for?

I get it from auto-zone or if you can mckenzie got some nice ones. Get a Z32 slave cylinder, it works well. I went with PDM-racing.com but they use beck arnley so maybe rock auto is even cheaper.... They tend to blow so get something cheap that usually last 1 clutch change.... otherwise Nismo....

I bought a master cylinder from Autozone and it held up perfectly fine for a year until I sold the car. Slave cylinder will probably be fine too. It's not like they sell garbage, the quality of autozone parts is fine in my experience.
