ok just a short story. just want share it to anyone else.

im surfing online looking for a boot disk or any help i can fix my other computer that one of my customer gave it to me (it is pentium 4 has 2gb max capable of memory.) the reason my customer gave it to me due to missing file probably they cant fix it. so ive been spending hours searching any solution even though i can fix it but fuckign cd-rom and floppy disk wont respond. so i went to my old tool box with bunch of floppy disk i know that i stored for almost 4 yrs. then found an envelope. it was dusty and old so i looked inside of it. then i was like WTF?!

I FOUND $300

3 $100 BILLS

left it there and forgot about it for at least 2 or 3 yrs. coz i remember buy this part for was way back then.

Nice. Why wont the CDROM or Floppy respond? Are they getting power? If they are getting power and don't turn on maybe the power supply isn't giving it enough juice. You can also try another CDROM drive from another PC.

If neither the floppy nor the CD-ROM are responding, it seems like it'd be more of a motherboard issue or device issue within the BIOs than a faulty CD-ROM. But what do I know, I'm not a computer janitor. :mephfawk:

Leave only the power going to the motherboard, hd, and cdrom. Reset CMOS by taking out the battery AND unplugging the computer for 30 seconds. Make sure the jumper settings are correct for the hd and cdrom as well.
