I am not sure of the labor total that was spent on this car but I can say that it was easily above $5,000.

Here is the car's story.
-I bought it off my friend in june of 2007. at the time, it was 100% stock
-I took it off the road in september 2007 and started the change from stock to track car.
- the car went in and out of shops and was constantly worked on, either by me or by a shop until june of 2008
- we started it and placed it on the dyno and on the first rev....we heard rod knock
- so the engine came back out, and I have been saving to put the money together to get the car rebuilt since then. Unfortunately, since the economy crashed, I do not have the money to rebuild this car, and will be moving to Japan either this or next summer. So I am selling my pride and joy without ever having driven it  in the hopes that someone else can have the fun with it that I thought I would have.

Here is what i think is left to do before it is trackable:

rebuild the engine: $2,500 (quote from my prefered shop G-dimensions in LA)
low compression pistons means forced induction, turbo or supercharger kit: $3000-$6000+
Hydraulic E-brake setup needs to be finished: $800 of custom work
50 hours of time from a DIU mechanic to connect gauges and bolt a few things down, etc

The front of the car, The hood doesnt look great....it needs to be sanded and painted, but I havent cared to do that as in my opinion a track car doesnt need to look perfect

I have TONS of pics of the build of this car, from its very beginning when the only thing on it was a Silvia front to these pictures I took yesterday. You are welcome to ask me for pictures.

The engine and transmission are NOT currently in the car and will need to be taken in a truck or SUV. The car does NOT run (in case someone didnt understand the above sentence) so you will need a trailer to tow it, in either case it is NOT street legal, and makes such a throaty nose even at idle that it would be unwise to try.

I am asking $22,000 for this car as I took out a 20,000 loan for it and need enough to get that paid off plus a bit for me. This price is OBO, Ill look into ALL offers and will work with people.

Ummmm over paying for parts does not justify for a shitty car.

I'm sorry, but this is really really not right.

But to each's own.

So I will say good luck with sale.

I think actually parting out the car would be a much better idea and you would actually get the money amount that you want or close to it at least.

Just a suggestion.

$20k for that...

Prepare to get flamed to death.

Atleast paint the car, and get it running. You have a good start, but you need to finish it if you expect to get that kind of cash.

Wow...

Nobody in their right mind takes out a loan to build an 18 year old car.

Let alone use crappy parts on it.

Oh, and fail miserably as well.

Good luck getting that money back.

Ummmm over paying for parts does not justify for a shitty car.

I'm sorry, but this is really really not right.

I'd estimate 6500 is a reasonable price in its current state.

Loose the hood and wing.
Get some wheels and paint.
