R200 diff shimming question

I'm in the process of shimming the stock vlsd. after taking the gears out for a quick rinse in the parts cleaners, i forgot which direction the spider gear faces. looking at the pics below you can see what talking about because i'm pointing to it. the first pic is the angle in which i'm looking at the guts. the second pic( on the tip of my nail) you can see a raised lip. if i were to flip the spider gear set around the other side does not have a lip. i tried to find an exploded view but came up with nothing. anyone know which side should be facing up? the side with our without the lip

There's a pic of the diff immediately after removing the two phillips screws and housing(where it says "Pry the two pieces apart (where you have unscrewed) and you'll end up with this"). Thats how it should look.
