welll i posted up couple months ago about my car not running due to "electrical" problem. car would jst crank and not start so i thought it would be a fuse or jst a loose wiring or so i thought. well i finally had to re-do all my wiring under the hood and closed it up with the plastic tubing and car still wont start =/

took the starter out and got it rebuild, still wont start.

took all the fuses and re-check and replace all the relays still wont start.

FINALLY i took off one of the spark plug and tried to turn the car on still no luck. i can smell the gas pumping inside the cylinder but no spark on the plug, and yes it is connected to the sparkplug wire.

now my problem is looking for the same exact dizzy cap and rotor. i went to autozone and kragen and ask for 91 sentra SE-R, even the infinity G20. but they're both circumference is wider than my SR dizzy. whats the deal?

where can i get the RWD SR dizzy from?

Check your ignitor, if could be the issue. Have you pulled your distributor cap off to see what it looks like? Maybe the rotor just came loose, I've seen that happen before.

As to where you get them from...Japan. That's where I get mine from and I know that doesn't help your situation. I looked high and low and could not find one in the states, but luckily my wife is Japanese and we typically make a trip to Japan each year.

If you want my old one (worked fine when I pulled it off), I'll make you a heck of a deal on it, PM me.

Another option, you might be able to make a KA distributor work, it might take a bit of work from what I was told though...

no it was all intact right. the cap is full of corrosion and the rotor it self is burned out. so yeah. found a shop here in cali called foreign auto-parts nd they said theyll have to see. they order it somewhere and it came out from the 93 200sx. so ill have to see how it works when i pick it up tomorrow. thnx though =]

The KA cap fit, but wouldn't bolt onto the distributor... I'll need to double check mine again, but was quite sure it wouldn't work without modifying the cap.

I like the fact that I could reuse my JWT ecu from my sentra

You can do 14psi easily on this setup... I ran 14psi on the street and usually 11psi on track. Above 90F I started having issues on track at 11psi and had to turn it down the boost some, but tyically had no issues.

Drilling the block is pretty easy... visit the sr20forum if you really need a step-by-step process on the how to do it though.

ok well i finally made a call to west covina nissan. and dude told me that only one that can fit in there is the OBDI DOHC KA. which i went to go get at autozone. lucky he was RIGHT =]. but now i came across one more problem. the original sparkplug wire i have cant reach the plug on the dizzy cap due to the dizzy cap inserts are pointing straight up and not like my old one which was to the side. now ima go to the junkyard and look for longer sparkplug wires. ill keep u guys posted!!!

one more thing. i was watching this video on how to determine your dizzy cap is seized and this FORD have a very similar looking distributor cap. what ford could it be? check the VID

YouTube - Basic Car Tune Up : How to Check the Distributor Cap (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYfeg8XXncM)

i got the car model. 96 ford probe SE 4 cylinder ima go to autozone and check it out. ill let you guys know. if it dont fit ima head to the junkyard and give you guys the info.

thnx

hey well i solve that problem the only one that will fit is a DOHC mitsubishi equipped dizzy cap. but youd need to get new sparkplug wires because it wont reach the terminals due to the SR terminals point towards the firewall and the DOHC KA point towards the fender. but the dizzy rotor, u can get it out of the 92-93 nissan 200sx i believe.
