^^ i could be wrong, but jdm styles could be talking about the BATTERY kill switch that you would put on your car when your mounting battery in the trunk area, and running on the track. Mine is a MOROSO switch. Kinda beefy. I mounted mine where the antenna was. But its temporary. Trying to find a better spot currently. Might mount it behind license plate and drill hole for the actual switch.

If your talking about a switch that would disable someones ignition/fuel pump/alarm/whatever... good luck. not going to happen man..

most people put it in a panel in their center console for a battery kill. track car.

Im not really worrying about my car being stolen since you dont know where i live..

in our truck we have a kill switch just in the open on the dash that says cruse control so anyone that was trying to steal a truck wouldnt actually think to press the cruise control button for it to start..

somtimes ppl put em under the front fenders.

Just get creative.. think of somthing that u belive no one would think of it to be.
Good luck

im not sure if your looking for a kill switch for safety or just cuz. so yeah.......

I don't think he's asking it for a security related question

I have the one that Kuah @ SPL Parts sells/used to sell

I forget what the brand was though

But was an aluminum battery box with kill switch

I think brand of battery box was Taylor

And the kill switch Flaming River

Super awesome I love both items, mad SOLID and good quality

And thanks to brotha Dousan on da help with the install way back when

How hard is it to install a battery kill switch? I'm thinking of getting one for security purposes.

relocated my batt to the trunk, mounted my switch in the center console.

I had the battery in the rear left hand side of the trunk if viewing from the rear. It ran up to the kill switch, and then under the drivers side dash, through the firewall to the engine bay. The only three wires that were on my hot side of the kill switch were for the defi control, the boost controller and the radio

The install wasn't hard at all. It just takes a while longer if you're worried about making it a really clean install

i made a bracket that i hang on the back of the car when i goto the track. with my USDM tails i had it on the bezel beneath the tails... when i got my koukis i wasnt drilling a hole in them (and people would fuck with me and hit it to off losing my radio stations) -

my box is the blue moroso jobby from jegs or summit. my battery is your standard DEKA brand maint free. - I have the box vented out the bottom.

these arent for security and a fuel pump cutoff you should read elsewhere how to do it.

however - the 20$ gps thing is an awesome idea.

I'd get it also so your battery doesn't get juiced while sitting

One time my brake pedal switch was busted, so the brake lights would be constantly on, even with key out and pedal off

Luckily I had this kill switch so it wouldn't juice my battery until I could get it fixed

Just left it in the engine bay.

Not really for security though.

Just to keep power from draining/running through your car.

Better used if your car isn't a DD.

Because little things like the radio resetting get kind of annoying.

So would it be possible to somehow make a fuel pump cutoff switch making the car immobile in case someone tried hotwiring it or something?

yes it would. if ya think hard enough you can install yourself. Cause im not tellin you how to do it. Also, might want to put the switch somewhere secure.

if its for security reason just get a fuel cut switch i have a hidden one in my car so everytime i park the car i turn it on so in the case if someone tried to steal my car they can start it but it will die right out in about 5secs

If you track your car and you relocate your battery to the trunk, your supposed to install a battery kill switch. Some tracks enforce this more than others.

any reputable track will care... small grassroots places dont.

fuel pump cutoff can help - if not for the fact that many cars are stolen on a flatbed.
