whats the licence plate number i cant figure it out..

i know this is gonna sound really stupid but i sold the 300zx a while back..... i owed some tickets on the car and i just wanted to look up the plate number and pay off the tickets online. all of the paper work to the car is lost (reg, ins, ect)

im sorry again about the stupid post, but i just wanna make sure before i register my finished 240 project that i paid off all my tickets before the marshall comes over and takes my stuff.

so thats about it

well...NYS state plates are 3 letters followed by 4 numbers unless customized. my guess is EDO 3987

parking tickets? if so, the owner you sold it to would have paid those off when they went to register it

traffic tickets? you can search by your drivers license # online and will pull up any unresolved traffic tickets you may have, schedule court dates and take the bill of sale saying you got rid of the car (Assuming they are fix it tickets)

I'm pretty sure there's some record out there with your license plate #. Have you asked your insurance company or the DMV? Old registration or other type of documents that would have it?

Wait a sec..... Your telling me that the parking tickets I got on the car will have to me paid off by the new owner when he goes to register it?!?!? Shit man I feel horrible now.. Dude in NY if you have parking tickets they will not allow you to register your new car..

They keep the tickets in NY by Reg number not VIN

i dont know exactly how it is in NY, but in california usually parking ticket fees go with the car and are paid upon registration and or transfer of ownership but from what Stiizy is saying...thats the same grounds as not being able to register the car unless the fees are paid
