I'm not surprised at the number of posts stating their problem with the price. What do you expect to pay when it comes to high quality? The origin floormats are just about the same in terms of pricing:

These arent your typical cheapo floor mats. Even OEM floor mats dont have the same quality as ours. The D Max floor mats have thick carpeting; about 20mm deep. Its the same material we use for our VIP Bellezza line, and we thought it would be nice to put some comfort back into our cars....

I understand price is always a factor, especially for floor mats. But when you compare this style of floor mat to ANY other competitor out there, we are the most affordable. Also, since we are still in design phase, we can pretty much design whatever you guys want. Meaning certain colors, 1 piece rear mat (covers the rear hump), and even trunk mats. So if you guys want it to be less plush to save on costs, then we can do that. But that would also mean we can't do checkered pattern....

and i live in tropical island... meaning besides the tipical dirt, rain, mud and all that we have SAND... and my floor mats no matter how expensive they get dirty,damaged...

$200+ is just way to much for them to just last some days clean and then get damaged... i would like a price that i could say screw it im gonna get new ones without having to break the wallet also...

I'll let you all know something right now..I have weapon-r checkered mats in my car...haven't even had em a year and I've worn the driver side down and messed up the checkered pattern. Quality looks good til you put them to use, and you watch the the mats just shed the material off. My oem driver side mat is in better shape, and my car is a 95. In other words it's been stepped on since 95, and still holding up lol.

My only suggestion is some sorta heel pad for the driver side and grommet for the pin the floor to hold the mats still. The crappy weapon-r slide all over the place. Also they don't fold over the humps in the floor like oem mats...just look on the back of the oem ones and you'll see what I mean. .

take your oem floor mats, go to home depot/carpet store etc, pick out whichever industrial / homecarpet you like and just trace and cut. custom fit, nice quality etc.

2- would they be cage specific or something?

I am interested in both front and rear floor matts but i'm not interested in the rears that cover the center hump. I don't think that will look clean and since I already have the factory carpet in my car... i don't really need the center hump thingy. What made you change your minds about making it a 4 piece set into a 3 piece (2 front 1 big rear) set? If it's a 3 piece i will only be interested in the black front floor matts. also, that little square blue line, i would prefer it without that line. Logo is cool, line kind of sticks our like a sore thumb.


One thing is for sure, I really want LHD s14 floor matts, 4 piece set front and rear in non-bright colored matts.

I think it would get dirty waaaayy too fast...I would only recommend a lighter color floor mat (i.e. black/white checker) if it were on a more rugged material, such as the Karo Sisal material. However, Sisal material is not really a comfortable material. Imagine taking the husk from a coconut, and weaving it together to make a floor mat....thats Sisal!

Also, I personally like the Dark Grey/Black checker, since it reminds me of the new Damier Graphite Collection from Louis Vuitton. (You know the ladies love the LV)

i like those lighter grey ones better... the dark ones look nice... but i have to go with what dmax chooses i guess... but yeah if you could like post images of the actual material maybe they aren't as dark as they look in the first concepts and will look just as good as the lighter ones...
