anyone ever tried the super turbo mufflers by dynomax? specifically a 3" inlet/outlet one? if so, how did it sound and is it worth 70-80 bucks?

Ok, well this isn't exactly what you asked for but i'm gonna awnser anyway.
My girlfriend had a 3" Hooker Aerochamber "turbo" muffler on her stock exhaust KADE.
that thing was SUPER LOUD on the freeway forget about any conversation unless you want to yell.
she then got a pos daily integra that had a autozone "turbo" muffler Again loud as fuck.....
these were both on NA car's which it isn't designed for.
what are you gonna put it on?

Of course... Why would i post otherwise?
So far i've put them on a 1960's firebird with a 455, a 1g dsm and a chevy pickup.
On the dsm it sounded soft and deep - no rasp at all.

a friend of mine has that muffler on a DOHC KA with just headers and a 2 1/2 pipe to that muffler, no resonator, no cats... and it's really quiet... he had a "fartcan" exhaust which sounded ugly and loud as hell... changed to this cause of all the heat the cops gave him... and the car really felt better and quieter... he drags his car also sometimes and he even made a better time changing out that muffler...

They are decent...quiet, but they don;t flow as well as a 'straight through' muffler, like a MagnaFlow (perforated core).
I had one on my N/A KA (back in 1998...hehe)...and it was fine...not very loud.
Stock piping until the diff, then it was crush-bent 2.5", with a Super Turbo.
YMMV.

update: the muffler came in.. first complaint, not dynomax's fault - more like summitracing..the packaging had no padding and dented one of the rims of the piping! but other than that it is looking really sweet! hopefully put it on soon and give more info about it and maybe a video..
