Review for S14 JIC FLT-TAR's
I just installed my JIC FLT-TAR's on my S14. The change was so dramatic, it feels firm and you can just rip on turns and it feels like its riding on rails. On full stiff it is a strong ride, but you full soft its firm but not irritating. Plus each adjustment knob change you do is dramatic, so you can fine tune your suspension settings with the 15 way adjustability.
+1 for JIC. It was expensive but completely worth it.

So would you say that there's a big difference in bump damping from full soft to full hard? from one click to the next?
Does it feel at all bouncy on full soft?

Yeah each click makes a big difference, in how it handles. Its not bouncy at all on full soft its pretty firm in that when you go over something it immediately snaps back into place. Full soft and full stiff is night and day. For a while i was riding on full stiff but i kicked it back 3 notches in all four corners and noticed that it had more give to long sweeping turns it was more stable. Its real easy to fine tune the suspension with the 15 ways.

I had megans on my honda and F2's on the 14 before the jic. Both were lacking in performance so i had to upgrade. They didn't seem as stable in the corners and the megans would always bottom out. As for spring rates jic made custom ones for me, it was only like 100 bucks more. i went with 10k/12k for the spring rates plus helper springs. I like to go tracking so i wanted some high performance suspension. I noticed that after driving hard during a session the JIC's didnt show fatigue and loss of performance after they heated up, not like my megans and F2, they got kind of sloshy after a session.

I think that JIC is one of the best out there. I have heard only one negitive about them. That was from a guy in a civic that said "TIEN kills JIC . JIC sucks." I laughed in his face. I do have to say they are expensive but the price is worth the change in your driving.

i got a set of FLT-ARs for my S13 back in november...i couldnt believe they made a awesome coilover setup even better...i thought my old FLT-A2s were perfection...JIC actually made them even BETTER with the TARs
between the FLT-A2s and FLT-ARs i had buddy club racing specs...they were a very nice damper...but they are COMPLETELY dwarfed by the TARs hands down...TARs are prolly one of the TOP coilover setups on the market right now
and with what the original poster said about 1 click changing the ride qualitys...he is DEAD on accurate with that...these things are dead on for people who want to dial in exactly what they want their ride quality and handling to be
+1 to JIC...i dont think ill ever use another coilover setup ever again after my TARs

I got the flt-a2 for my s14 at a killer deal from a guy off here and i love them. It handles so much tighter than stock and gives an aggressive stance.

Thats awesome. What are your spring rates? and do you have helper springs on them?

What did you guys pay? Does anybody know if they make a fork style z32 rear upright replacement piece for them?
What spring rates do they come with out of the box?
I want to replace my KTS' soon but want to keep the z32 uprights.

JIC Magic - <img border=0 src="/tar1.jpg"> (http://jic-magic.com/ViewProduct1.aspx?ProductID=33&CarModelID=45&CarMakeID=7)
i think logan at aspec has a set that he is looking to sell.
i asked them once about the rears and they said that they would be able to chance the bottom to a fork for z32 rears...mmm sweet!

i believe they are 7k up front and 5k in the rear and no helper springs.

your review means nothing if you have nothing to compare it to.
I got FLT-A2s rebuilt to TAR spec.
They are great coilovers.
The dampening adjustment really changes the dampening as opposed to other coilovers.
The ride quality is okay and what I expected.

I did.... Note my comparison and dislike of my old megans and F2's. Plus a review is an opinion of something, you don't necessarily need multiple products, but i did anyways.....
